Michael J. Cronkright

Michael Cronkright - Attorney at Law As a trial attorney, Mr. Cronkright focuses primarily on trial work within his areas of practice. These include Criminal Defense, Family Defense in Children's Protective Proceedings, and other complex litigation. Mr. Cronkright has a passion for defending the falsely accused and those treated unfairly by the authorities. He has served as lead trial attorney on numerous complex cases involving false allegations by children. Mr. Cronkright has extensive training and experience in cross-examination of children. He has both training from, and courtroom experience with, nationally prominent medical, psychological, and scientific experts. His expertise and knowledge is invaluable in breaking down the barrier of false accusations, misleading evidence, and suggestive child interviews by authorities. Mr. Cronkright has obtained not guilty verdicts throughout Michigan and has successfully litigated the reunification of families facing allegations by Child Protective Services.

Mr. Cronkright received his Bachelor of Arts in Business from Spring Arbor College. He then obtained his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he graduated Cum Laude. He has been admitted to practice law in all Michigan courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and, pro hac vice, in Wyoming, Texas, and Wisconsin.

Mr. Cronkright's professional memberships include the State Bar of Michigan, Criminal Law Section, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, and the American Association of Justice.

Charles M. Kronzek

Charles Kronzek - Attorney at Law Mr. Kronzek is a highly successful trial lawyer with extensive experience in handling hundreds of criminal cases. He is involved in many of our high profile cases. He has excellent litigation skills and has been a member of numerous legal and professional associations, including the State Bar of Michigan, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, and the American Association of Justice. He frequently participates in continuing legal education in order to keep updated on the most current laws, techniques, areas of expertise, and court rulings that might affect our clients. In one case, our client was charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct in the First Degree in Ingham County, Michigan. Mr. Kronzek was able to get the jury to acquit our client of every charge. This is just one of the many examples of Mr. Kronzek's trial successes. He has obtained not guilty verdicts in criminal cases throughout Michigan. He spends the majority of his time litigating cases.

Mr. Kronzek received his Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Geneva College in Pennsylvania. He then obtained his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School where he graduated Cum Laude. He has been admitted to practice law in all Michigan state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. He has been admitted pro hac vice to try cases in Texas, Wyoming, and Florida.

John M. English

John English - Attorney at LawJohn M. English, originally raised on the shores of Lake Superior, has been a member of the State Bar of Michigan since 1999 and the New Hampshire Bar Association since 1985. He maintained a statewide OWI defense practice in New Hampshire for 14 years but now concentrates on all types of serious Michigan criminal cases. Mr. English has conducted hundreds of administrative hearings, bench trials, and jury trials. He is licensed to practice in Michigan courts as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. His professional memberships have included the State Bar of Michigan, New Hampshire Bar Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association, New Hampshire Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan. Mr. English has successfully completed the NHTSA/IACP Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Practitioner Course and completed other numerous continuing legal education courses.

Mr. English obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Franconia College (N.H.) in 1977 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center) in Concord, New Hampshire in 1984.

Brandy J. Thompson

Brandy Thompson - Attorney at LawMs. Thompson, originally from northern Michigan, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Pre-Law from Lake Superior State University. She then attended Michigan State University College of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude. While in law school, she became an editor for the prestigious MSU Law Review. Her professional memberships have included the Michigan Association for Justice, the State Bar of Michigan, as well as the Young Trial Lawyers Association. In addition to being licensed to practice in all Michigan courts, she is also licensed in the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Ms. Thompson has successfully litigated in both state and federal courts. She has handled a wide range of cases, including those involving Child Protective Services, child abuse, child neglect, and criminal defense.

Thomas S. Piotrowski

Thomas Piotrowsk - Attorney at LawThomas Piotrowski is an experienced and aggressive litigator who handles cases in and around the Detroit metro area. Since graduating cum laude from the Detroit College of Law in 1987, Mr. Piotrowski has been actively litigating inside of Michigan courtrooms.

Mr. Piotrowski is a former Wayne County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. His responsibilities included witness preparation and prosecution of felony and misdemeanor offenses in both bench and jury trials. After 10 years at the Prosecutor’s office, Mr. Piotrowski moved on to the Attorney General's office as an Assistant Attorney General. While there, he worked primarily on environmental prosecutions.

Mr. Piotrowski is now putting his decades of experience prosecuting individuals to work by defending clients and their constitutional rights both in and out of the courtroom. He is able to use the unique skill set of building cases against individuals to see the weaknesses of a given lawsuit or prosecution and can use these to his advantage when arguing a client’s defense. Mr. Piotrowski’s professional memberships include the State Bar of Michigan as well as the Washtenaw County Bar Association.

Stephanie M. Service

Stephanie Service - Attorney at LawMs. Service firmly believes in a criminal defendant’s constitutional right to a competent criminal defense attorney. That is why she has such a passion for defending people who have been charged with crimes in Michigan. Not only does she work hard to prepare a defense strategy, but she works hard to build relationships with all her clients.

Ms. Service graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Spanish. She then accepted an Honors Scholarship to attend Thomas M. Cooley Law School. During law school, Ms. Service earned a place on both the Dean’s List and Honor Roll every single semester and was a member of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review. She graduated cum laude with an academic ranking of 20 out of 403 students.

Ms. Service is licensed to practice law in all Michigan state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. She is a graduate of both the Hillman Advocacy Program and the Trial Skills College.
